TRD Offroad wheels meet the requirement to mount 285/70R17 tires. Yes since TRD Pro wheels are skinny they are not recommended for 285/70R17. If you want to keep TRD Pro wheels you don't have to settle for 275/70R17. You can go for a taller tire like 255/80R17.
