It seems to be a poorly cared for Colt 1911 made in 1918 based on the serial number (No 449XXX). It does however have an acceptance mark on the frame above the mag catch with the Springfield Armory eagle with S8 under it.I would be interested in learning how rare my 1911 is, and what value you would place on it.
