He attended Enterprise grade school and high school and was in the graduating class of 1946. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and served until 1952.

Farson spent three weeks in the hospital undergoing several surgeries and will be entering a new journey of getting a prosthetic towards the end of the year.
