Like or hate the love scenes, it makes a lot of sense why Anakin is so awkward. One he's been in the temple most of his life after 1, and before didn't talk to many people, but his Mom, Watto, and of course Kitster. So it makes sense, because he should be awkward since he hasn't done any actual romance on top of him being a teen/young adult still.The most egregious example of this is when Anakin tells Padme that he killed men, women, and children out of anger and revenge for his mother's death.
