So your devices may well be bypassing your PiHole filtering. I found my Sony Bravia TV does this. To stop it you will need to block outbound DNS queries on your router (except for queries made by PiHole). I have a PiHole running on a network with an Edgerouter X and a couple of Ubiquit APs. I can block the top level domains, such as instagram.com, but it's the many other sub/domains the apps use that I'd also like to block to ensure they are completely inaccessible on my network.
