I am going to graduate from an entry level masters program from an out of state school by the end of this year. I am originally from California, and I would love to be able to move back and work here. I am wondering if anyone has any experience applying to the nurse residency programs for new grads (UCLA, UCSF, UCDavis, Kaiser, Cedars-Sinai ... The majority of NorCal hospitals that offer New Grad Residency programs do not post Clinical/Staff Nurse 1 position on their hiring board. Some do like Dignity. I've never seen a Stanford or UC Davis clin nurse 1 position posted, they hire through their New Grad job posting (and they receive an obscene amount of applicants).
