Air Midwest Flight 5481 (operating as a US Airways Express flight under a franchise agreement with US Airways) was a regularly scheduled passenger flight from Charlotte Douglas International Airport near Charlotte, North Carolina, to Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport in Greer, South Carolina.All of these cases arise out of the crash of USAir Flight # 1016 on July 2, 1994. They were transferred to this district pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1407 for resolution of all pretrial matters. Thereafter, defendants moved to transfer all of these cases to this district for trial on all issues pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1404(a).
